I religiously use my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card when traveling and I 100% endorse it for those who want to get into the frequent-flier-miles-game. You can get 60,000 miles after using the card for 3 months and spending $4000 on it. That’s enough miles for 1-2 round trip tickets in the US or a 1 way international ticket. I recently used only 40,000 miles to fly 1 way from Orlando – Frankfurt – Bangkok – Phuket, and only paid airport fees! There’s also no foreign transaction fees whatsoever so you can use it anywhere abroad. ($95 fee per year, though that can be paid using 9,500 points!). Check out more about the card here.

Craig is a 34 year-old, sun-loving, bourbon-drinking native Floridian, former Phuketan, and part-time drifter of the world that is the face behind Vagabond Disposition. He previously called the Land of Smiles his home for about 10 years on and off, coming and going between journeys throughout East and Southeast Asia, as well as Western Mexico and Europe. He enjoys a competitive game of disc golf when he can find a course, as well as a laid-back match of Bocce with spirits in hand. Craig has a musical soul and will jump on a piano, drum set, or ukulele any chance he gets. His odd sense of humor is fortunately often appreciated by his peers, as well as his students. In addition to teaching English online, Craig also runs his own business designing and selling Florida-themed apparel and merch on Etsy as well as 2 different website stores, and also a brand new vagabond apparel and merch style shop also on Etsy. (He would particularly appreciate some sales in that new store, by the way!)
